Growing in Faith and Learning
AGES 2.5 – PRE‑K
At Orenco Christian Preschool, we believe every child is wonderfully made and deserves a classroom designed for their unique stage of growth. From our Bridge class for 2.5‑year‑olds to our Pre‑Kindergarten program, we create nurturing spaces where children thrive academically, socially, and spiritually.
TODDLERS
(2.5 – 3.5 YEARS)
Children begin practicing independence with gentle guidance. Teachers encourage self‑care skills, structured routines, and playful exploration that build confidence.
PRESCHOOL
(3 – 4 YEARS)
As children prepare for kindergarten, they strengthen literacy, math, and social skills. Our program builds confidence and equips them for a smooth transition into elementary school.
ABC JESUS LOVES ME CURRICULUM
We proudly use the ABC Jesus Loves Me curriculum, a faith‑based program that blends learning with spiritual growth:
● Bible stories & memory verses introduce children to God’s love in age‑appropriate ways.
● Academic readiness activities build literacy, math, and fine motor skills.
● Character development lessons nurture kindness, respect, and responsibility.
● Whole‑child approach ensures balanced growth—spiritual, cognitive, social, and emotional.
With classrooms tailored to each age and the ABC Jesus Loves Me curriculum guiding their journey, your child will grow in both knowledge and faith—ready to shine in kindergarten and beyond
OUR TEAM
Our teachers are trained in child development, certified in Child CPR and First Aid, and fully approved through Oregon’s Central Background Registry with the Division of Child Care Licensing—so you can feel confident your child is in safe, caring hands.
KAREN CAMPBELL
DIRECTOR
Karen began her career in early childhood education in 2008 and has since dedicated herself to fostering the growth and development of young children. She is recognized for her nurturing, compassionate approach and her commitment to supporting both children and their families. With a strong passion for helping children reach developmental milestones, Karen creates a Christ-centered, creative, and engaging classroom environment filled with meaningful and enjoyable learning experiences.
She values building a strong school community by encouraging collaboration among teachers, staff, and families, and by providing opportunities for parents to actively participate in their child’s educational journey. Karen earned her Bachelor of Arts in Child Development from Point Loma Nazarene University and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Organizational Leadership. Married for over 28 years, she enjoys life with her husband and their two beloved boxer puppies.

ANNA PETERSON
TODDLER TEACHER
Anna is passionate about helping children discover the joy of learning through fun, hands-on experiences. She embraces play-based learning as a way to build a strong foundation for developmental growth, creating a classroom environment that is warm, engaging, and feels like home.
With over twelve years of experience in childcare centers and twenty-six years of teaching at her church, Anna brings a wealth of knowledge in working with toddlers through third grade. Her dedication to nurturing children’s curiosity and supporting their developmental goals shines through in every aspect of her teaching.
Outside the classroom, Anna enjoys camping, hiking, and spending time outdoors. She treasures her faith, family, and friends, which remain at the heart of everything she does.

EVELYN HINDS
PRESCHOOL TEACHER
Evelyn is passionate about guiding children through their early years of learning and discovery. She creates a welcoming classroom environment that is both creative and engaging, where young learners feel supported and inspired. With intentional focus, she nurtures growth across spiritual, social-emotional, cognitive, and physical areas of development, helping each child reach their full potential.
She holds a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Early Childhood Education and brings over 15 years of teaching experience to her work. Evelyn’s dedication to fostering a holistic, faith-centered approach ensures that her classroom is a place where children thrive academically and personally.

JENNIFER SCHATZ
PRE-KINDERGARTEN
Jennifer is passionate about teaching children of all ages and is dedicated to creating a safe, loving, and engaging environment where every child can thrive. She strongly believes in the power of play-based learning to lay a solid foundation for growth and development in the early years. With over eight years of teaching experience in both private and public school settings, Jennifer brings a wealth of knowledge and a heart for nurturing young learners.
Her faith is central to her work. Having served in youth ministries for nearly a decade, Jennifer lives out her belief that the best way to share the love of Jesus is by caring for others with the same compassion He showed.
Jennifer holds a master’s degree in education with endorsements in English as a Second Language (ESOL) and mathematics, as well as a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a focus on childhood and adolescent learning and development.
Outside the classroom, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, exploring the outdoors through hiking and camping in the Pacific Northwest, and embarking on small family adventures.

ALICIA WHEELER
TEACHER’S ASSISTANT
Alicia has over 15 years of experience supporting preschool and early elementary children as a teacher’s aide. She is passionate about nurturing young learners by encouraging their creativity and curiosity about the world around them.
Outside the classroom, Alicia enjoys spending time with animals, especially her beloved cat. She loves hiking, exploring the outdoors, traveling with family and friends, and capturing moments through photography.
